The Men of the Lafayette Escadrille acquired Whiskey from a Brazilian dentist in Paris, while on leave from the Front in the summer of 1916.

Raoul Lufbery holds Whiskey as Edwin Parsons looks on, 1917. Parsons was found of cuddling with Whiskey in his cot when he was cold & accused his companion's fur of smelling "evil."
